Gear
Like most endurance athletes, I love good gear — but I try to approach it with a bit of perspective. I’m constantly looking for equipment that not only helps me train and race better, but also makes sense for the long haul: durable, repairable, and as sustainable as possible.
Cycling and endurance sports can easily turn into a never-ending chase for the newest, lightest, or fastest, but my goal is to strike a balance. I’m trying to build a setup that supports my training all the way to big goals like the UCI Gran Fondo Worlds, while also being mindful of the impact my hobby has on the planet.
In this section, I’ll share the gear choices I make, why I pick them, what works (and what doesn’t), and how I try to keep my passion for the sport aligned with my values.
